Interfering
Milford police arrested Rhonel Russell, 34, of Waterbury on April 27 after they received a complaint of a disturbance at the Pilot truck stop on Old Gate Lane.
Police say they located Russell walking away from the truck stop on Woodmont Road and attempted to detain him to investigate the complaint. Russell failed to comply with police during the investigation and was subsequently arrested.
Russell is charged with interfering with police.
Bond was set at $500 for court on May 26.
Larceny
Milford police issued an arrest warrant for Richard Hayes, 24, of New Haven on April 28 after they concluded an investigation into a September 2013 complaint regarding an employee theft that occurred at the Finish Line store located at the Connecticut Post mall.
Investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued for Hayes, who is accused of providing a person with merchandise valued at $242.97 without taking payment from the person.
Hayes is charged with sixth-degree larceny and sixth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny.
He was released on a promise to appear in court on May 26.
DUI
Milford police arrested Craig Renz, 71, of Milford for DUI after they received a complaint regarding a motor vehicle accident on New Haven Avenue on April 30.
During the investigation, police found that Renz was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Subsequent to his arrest, a Breathalyzer test revealed that Renz had an elevated blood alcohol level.
Renz is charged with DUI, failure to drive right and driving without insurance.
Bond was set at $500 for court on May 28.
Drug offenses
Milford police arrested two people on drug charges on May 2 after an officer stopped an unregistered motor vehicle operated by John Thigpen, 46, of New Haven.
During the stop, police found Thigpen in possession of a controlled substance not prescribed to him. Kamara Taylor, 29, of Bridgeport, a passenger in the vehicle, was found in possession of crack cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Thigpen is charged with possession of a controlled substance, operating an unregistered vehicle, misuse of registration plates, and driving without insurance.
He was released on a promise to appear in court on May 26.
Taylor is charged with possession of narcotics, possession of less than one half-ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was released on a promise to appear in court on May 26.
