On behalf of the Board of Directors, clients and staff at the Beth-El Center, I would like to thank all who participated in the Trick or Trot 5K Run/Walk that was held on Saturday, October 31 in Milford. Funds raised will help to further enhance Beth-El Center’s mission to alleviate homelessness and hunger in the Milford area.
Special thanks go to the major event sponsors and organizers, the law firm of Harlow, Adams & Friedman, P.C. and Sikorsky Financial Credit Union. The event committee, comprised of Atty. Dana Friedman, Atty. Danielle Bercury, Atty. Joe Kubic and representatives of Sikorsky Financial Credit Union, Joanne Lucia and Michelle Parry, did an outstanding job this year in planning and organizing the event. We deeply appreciate all of the volunteers who helped with registration, monitoring the course, and any other tasks that needed to be done — couldn’t have done it without you.
Marty Schaivone, M.S. Running Productions, always offers professional guidance and organizes a run/walk that provides opportunities for all who wish to participate, while arranging for a beautiful route, insuring public safety and an enjoyable experience for all.
We also appreciate the generosity of former Miss Connecticut, Heidi Voight, NBC CT Traffic Reporter, who emcee’d the event and led off the race and Mayor Ben Blake for his welcoming comments.
Sincere appreciation goes out to the following event sponsors: Duchess Restaurant, Metro Star, Colonial Toyota, CATIC, H & Y Construction, James P. Nemergut, The Cone Zone, Beirne Wealth Consulting Services, Jim Dorney, Mary Taylor United Methodist Church, Arnold Peck’s Property World, Rick’s Plumbing, RM Skinner Enterprises, Michael and Suzanne Lyngaas, and Kasowitz & Company. Our thanks also to those who donated food and professional services: Bella Napoli, Rainbow Gardens, Subway, Scratch Bakery, Shop-Rite, and the Elwoods who provided an extra dose of fun with their music.
Again, thanks to all who participated for your support of the Beth-El Center in our efforts to respond to those in need in our community.
