A person was hit by a train in Stratford on mid-day Friday, according to Metro-North Railroad. The railroad and police did not immediately release information on the person’s condition, or if it he or she was struck by a commuter train.
Train service between New Haven and Bridgeport resumed around 1 p.m. after it was stopped. New Haven Line customers traveling through this area should anticipate delays of 30 to 45 minutes.
Metro-North said the person struck was not authorized to be near the tracks.
The railroad said that passengers should listen for train status updates at the New Haven Line stations. The delays east of Bridgeport could also delay some service in the rest of Connecticut.
