The Beth-El Center will hold a Milford Trick or Trot 5K Run/Walk, presented by Harlow, Adams, and Friedman, P.C. and Sikorsky Credit Union, on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 9 a.m.
The event, in its third year, will begin at Lisman Landing in downtown Milford, bringing together runners and walkers to support the hungry and homeless in the local area.
Milford Mayor Benjamin Blake will kick off the race.
The Trick or Trot is a family friendly event: Walkers and runners are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes. Prizes will be awarded for best individual and team costumes and to the first, second and third place winners of the race by age group.
Participants are encouraged to bring friends and family members to raise additional funds for the Beth-El’s homeless. Over 220 athletes participated last year.
Post-race festivities will include breakfast provided by Indigo by the Water and music performed by rock and blues band The Elwoods.
Participants are encouraged to register in advance for a reduced fee of $25. Race day registration will be $35.
Check in begins at 7:30 a.m. and the race is at 9 a.m. To register or for more information, visit milfordtrickortrot.com.
