Probation violation
Milford police issued an arrest warrant and took custody of Carlos Berrios, 32, of Bridgeport on Oct. 22 regarding three outstanding warrants for his arrest. Police accuse Berrios of violating his court-appointed probation.
Berrios is charged with three counts of violation of probation.
Bond was set at $60,000 for court on Nov. 5.
Assault
Milford police arrested Robert Weidman, 40, of Milford on Oct. 22 after they received a complaint regarding a disturbance at a High Street residence. Investigation led to the arrest of Weidman, whom police accuse of pushing his companion, resulting in a minor injury.
Weidman is charged with third-degree assault. He was released on a promise to appear in court on Oct. 22.
Witness tampering
Milford police arrested Gregory Christofakis, 52, on Oct. 23 after they received a complaint regarding an alleged protective order violation involving Christofakis that occurred on Oct. 8.
Investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued for Christofakis, whom police accuse of attempting to contact by email the victim of the crime for which he is incarcerated.
Christofakis is charged with attempt to tamper with a witness and attempted violation of a protective order.
Bond was set for $25,000 for a court hearing on Oct. 23.
Larceny
Milford police arrested Richard Madarang, 39, of Milford on Oct. 23 after they received a complaint regarding several unauthorized withdrawals taken from a victim’s bank account in July.
Police accuse Madarang of making several such withdrawal transactions from the account of an acquaintance totaling $1,180.
Madarang is charged with sixth-degree larceny.
Bond was set at $5,000 for court on Nov. 18.
Drug offense
Milford police arrested two Milford men on drug offenses after an officer stopped a motor vehicle for a defective headlight on North Street on Oct. 24.
Investigation led to the arrests of Charles Curcio, 31, of Milford and James Porto, 39, of Milford, who are both accused of possessing crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and prescription medication not stored in the original container.
Bond was set at $1,000 for court on Nov. 18.
Restraining order violation
Milford police arrested Stephanie Jaworowicz, 36, of New Haven after they received a complaint regarding an unwanted person at a Swanson Drive residence on Oct. 24.
Investigation led to the arrest of Jaworowicz, whom police accuse of violating a court-issued restraining order prohibiting her from being on the property.
Jaworowicz is charged with violation of restraining order and first-degree criminal trespass.
Bond was set at $2,500 for court on Oct. 27.
Interfering with police
Milford police arrested Willie Frimpter, 36, of Milford after they received a complaint regarding a suspicious vehicle parked on Hauser Street on Oct. 25.
When officers arrived, they found the vehicle with the engine running, with air bags deployed and a broken windshield. Police say Frimpter was unresponsive behind the wheel of the car at the time of their arrival and upon being awakened, Frimpter attempted to drive the vehicle from the scene.
Police say Frimpter resisted the officers’ efforts and became combative during the investigation. Police are continuing with the investigation regarding the damage to the vehicle.
Frimpter is charged with interfering with police.
He was released on a promise to appear in court on Nov. 18.
Assault
Milford police arrested Christopher Hickman, 31, of Bridgeport on Oct. 25 after they received a complaint of a disturbance in a parking lot on the Boston Post Road.
Investigation led to the arrest of Hickman, who is accused of striking a former companion.
He is charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.
He was released on a promise to appear in court on Oct. 27.
