At least four are dead and dozens more injured after a Metro-North Railroad Hudson Line train derailed in near the Spuyten Duyvil station in the Bronx on Sunday morning.
Hudson Line service is suspended between Tarrytown and Grand Central and Amtrak service is suspended between New York City and Albany.
New Haven Line, including New Canaan Branch service, is running Sunday. As is Harlem Line service. The last Metro-North derailment was earlier this year on the New Haven line on the Fairfield-Bridgeport town lines.
Sunday’s derailed train was the 5:54 a.m. from Poughkeepsie, N.Y. The derailment happened about 7 a.m.
Bus service will be provided between White Plains and Tarrytown Station for customers wishing to travel in and out of Grand Central. Shuttle bus service will start at approximately 11 a.m. Customers at stations between Irvington and Yankees-E. 153rd St. Station are urged to use the Harlem Line, Subway and/or bus service, according to Metro-North.
