The Milford Police Department will be conducting a roadside sobriety checkpoint that begins on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31 and ends on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1.
According to a police statement, the purpose of the checkpoint is to create a visible police presence that will focus on drivers under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Police are requesting that anyone who observes a vehicle being operated by a person they suspect is driving while under the influence or driving recklessly call 911 and report the incident to the police.
